How long does each therapy session take?

Our first initial session will range between 50-minutes to 60-minutes to be able to build rapport, discuss potential goals for therapy, and gather and assess current symptoms and prior or current psychological history.
I also offer a 90-minute initial session to allow more time for the therapist and client to connect and discuss goals for therapy.  
After the initial session, a standard psychotherapy individual session is 50-minutes.
I also offer other options if the traditional session time is too long or too short.  Other options for session lengths include 30-minute sessions, 90-minute sessions, and 120-minute sessions.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

I do offer sliding scale rates depending on the unique situation.

Do you offer consultation sessions or calls?

I believe every client should find a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, or clinician that best suits their needs, goals for therapy, and be able to trust and feel safe in session. To see if I would be a good match for you as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist I offer 15-20-minute consultation phone calls. On our scheduled consultation call you will be able to ask me any questions that would be helpful for us to build rapport, questions regarding our potential goals together in sessions, or any other questions that would be helpful in starting the counseling journey.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time I am not in network with any insurance panels, but I can provide a super-bills for out of network insurance reimbursement. Before filing the super-bill with your current insurance provider, I always recommend first checking with your current insurance provider and insurance plan to see if your insurance plan includes out of network reimbursement coverage.

What modalities or techniques do you utilize in therapy sessions?

The modalities and techniques that I utilize in session are Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), DBT Techniques, Play Therapy techniques, and Mindfulness Therapy to name a few.
